Special Edition Bristol International Balloon Fiesta Print 2019

We were honoured to create an official special edition print to commemorate Bristol International Balloon Fiesta  2019 theme of ‘Celebrating Bristol Icons’. When we moved to Bristol, the Fiesta was one of our highlights.  The wonder of sitting watching Hot Air Balloons sail away into the blue sky.  Its magical!  It is this we have tried to capture with the print.  Drawn in a slightly stylised manner, it's a bright, colourful print, filled with delicate details.  Including many of the iconic Hot Air Balloons from Bristol, as well as the Concorde.    This is the final official print we created.  Which is available from our website here. He was a mechanic by trade and collected all sorts of tools from all kinds of industry. His collection lived, stacked high, in his ‘workshop’ AKA the back of our house, alongside mechanic manuals, vintage hand tools, boat parts, and...

Charley Harper created beautiful, stylized colourful illustrations of wildlife with the most balanced compositions and energy, using as few visual elements as possible.  This is a style to which I aspire. With a newly purchased secondhand wall cabinet and some paint.  There was only really one thing to do.  A Charley Harper inspired wall cabinet celebrating Bristol!

Art on the Hill

Art trails do exactly what is says on the tin.  Artists open up their studios, shared spaces and houses and welcome in complete strangers, into the homestead to view, engage and hopefully buy their artwork.  A brilliantly simple concept that allows artists and art lovers to get up close with art in a relaxed environment and bypass the formality of the museum art exhibition scene...
